Eric (age 10) is sitting in the front right corner of the upstairs, near the original slanted windows (later replaced). At this stage, the floor of the upstairs was the slanted, tarpaper-covered roof of the downstairs room. Later, Karl built a leveled floor over this roof, and finished it with linoleum tiles.
