This image is from a postcard on which someone wrote "1934" in pen. The image agrees with another photograph said to be taken in 1934. There is no copyright on the postcard, which says on the back "Pub. by Brown County Folks Shop, Nashville, Indiana". Photographer unknown. See also linoleum cut by Karl Martz below.

Linoleum cut by Karl Martz of the Brown County Pottery. Date unknown, probably mid or late 1930's. In 1995, Karl recalled selling his linoleum cuts in the late 1930's for $10 each. It is not known how many prints of this cut were made, but probably less than 100. One example is known of a signed print that has no number.
