Breakfast plates used in the Martz household for many decades. The bodies of the two plates at the ends were purchased as commercially produced bisque-fired white clay, 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) in diameter. Karl painted the designs with underglaze pigments, and glazed them. The body of the center plate was made by Karl. See below for larger views.
